It is essential that your child arrives at school on time. Being late disrupts the school day for both children and teachers. Gates open at 8:30 and close at 8.40. Children should be in school by this time as registers are taken at 8:40. Children arriving after this time will have a late mark on the register. For security reasons, the school gates are locked at 8.40 am by which time all children should be in school. If your child is late, they should enter through the main entrance to the school and report to the office where the reason for their lateness is recorded.
If children are persistently late school will write to parents and arrange a meeting to discuss the issue.
Please come to school on time – it helps everybody! Up to the age of seven we recommend that an adult brings and collects children. If for any unseen reason you will be late picking up your child, please telephone school so that we can pass the message to the class teacher. This will ensure that you child does not become upset.
It is expected that all children will leave our school by 3.20 pm. If a child is left at school and the teacher has not been notified, the child will be taken to the after care club and parents/carers will be charged for the time that they spend there.
